Warning to crane companies

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has warned tower crane suppliers to make sure staff are adequately trained when carrying out high risk operations. The warning follows the prosecution of Select Plant Hire Company Ltd at the Old Bailey after a crane driver suffered severe injuries in an incident in Croydon in June 2007.
