The Batteries Directive came into force on 26 September 2006. It applies to all types of batteries (irrespective of their shape, weight, composition or use) and it aims to influence those involved in the battery supply chain (e.g. producers, distributors, end users and operators directly involved in the treatment and recycling of waste batteries) ...
